You have found the spot for that custom, one-of-a-kind gift idea or keepsake. From a sparkling pair of crystal wedding flutes, to a set of bottle stoppers coordinated with a set of wine glasses, Creations By The Cs will not disappoint those looking for unique, gift quality, hand-crafted pieces.

All themes and designs are made by me, alone, using Polymer Clay and are created from my observations
and imagination in my studio. My work may be seen on display at the dental
office of Ken Yorgey in Quinton, VA and Lotus Day Spa & Boutique in
Kitty Hawk, NC. I've also had the honor of having some of my work published in Polymer
Cafe Magazine.
Feel free to browse the Gallery and remember, if you
don't see a theme or color you are interested in, please contact me, as I'm sure I will be able to
design just what you are looking for.
Prices for my one-of-a-kind creations start at $19.00 and increase based on the complexity of the design, materials required, and hours needed for completion. An estimated cost will be given before any work is undertaken. Please order at least 8 weeks in advance of events like weddings, graduations, and anniversaries, to ensure enough design and production time.
As the medium for my work, I use Polymer Clay which is a synthetic clay. I prefer to use the Premo™ brand because I feel it is the strongest and suits my needs the best. While the clay comes in a variety of colors, I always custom blend to achieve the precise shade.
I do not use or need a potter's wheel or kiln for my creations. I do however need, a pasta machine, an autopsy blade and my kitchen oven. I know it sounds bizarre, but this is how it works.
I use the pasta machine to condition the clay. Each color is passed through 7 or 8 times to ensure that it is malleable enough. This process takes place before any colors have been custom blended. The autopsy blade is used to carefully section the clay into 1/32 of an inch pieces to be placed on another sheet of clay. These pieces are then rolled through the pasta machine another 7 or 8 times. In all, it takes at least 10 steps and many hours to get the clay to the point where it can be placed on the item being decorated.

Every step is done by hand; there are no shortcuts in this process. The final step is placing the pieces into the kitchen oven where they are fired to perfection.
